Licensing Issues
Anaphe's stated aim is to use stable, high quality, validated open source software wherever possible
but for some tasks (OO databases and mathematical libraries, for example) it does not exist. Hence CERN
pays for commercial products such as Objectivity and NagC instead of developing similar software
in-house. CERN institutes and collaborators are free to use this software but they must sign a license
agreement first.
