Introduction

JULIA is the ALEPH reconstruction program. All files referring to this program are kept in the JUL directory on VAX, JUL disk on IBM and in /al/reference/jul and /aleph/jul on ALEPH UNIX systems (Aloha, CSF, Shift9) gif: Fortran, historian, object, executable and command files.

Input to JULIA are raw data produced by the ALEPH detector, or by the ALEPH simulation program GALEPH[7]. JULIA needs as extra input the ALEPH database.

The current version of JULIA is 2.74. In all files referenced the sequence '274' is used. For any other version, replace '274' by the desired version number.

A number of interactive tools have been written to access informations referring to the program (JTREE, SBANK, SCOM). Type HELP 'tool' to get more details about them.

Listings of the program, variables in commons, BOS banks, tree outputs can be found in the software documentation office (2-R-032).
