************************************ * Minute of the 11th April meeting * ************************************ Following last week meeting , the amount of work to be done for the diferent channels was precised : Hadrons ------- TPC selection : all numbers have been reevaluated with the same programme and the same procedure for the systematic evaluation . Monte Carlo off peak will be useful , especially for the early years . Kingal level Monte-Carlo is sufficient . CALO selection : Analyse to be redone for 90-91 . DST are needed . Off peak Monte-Carlo needed (full generation) for 90 et 91 off peak points. Electron : Lee Thompson sent a message listing the -------- work to be done : 1 Create MC data sets with UNIBAB for years prior to 1993. 2 Re-performing the selection for 1990 , 1991 1992 data : the N-tuple used by Helge are not available .(During the meeting it appeared unclear if Helge has still the N-tuple or not.) 3 Tuning the final selection to reduce systematics This involves quite a lot of work 4 When final energies are known t-channel substr- action and backgrounds have to be reevaluated. For the point 3 , 2 ways me be followed : - Pere pointed out that the final selection should be tuned using UNIBAB and that we should study the possibility of avoiding t-channel substration . It was thought that in would be nice to have at the EW meetin of the Aleph week a presentation upon that possibility. - The other way being change of cos theta * range . Muon ----- - Monte Carlo is needed From further discussion , Monte-Carlo is going to be produced by H.Videau . - Data can be selected from the selected sample of Ecole Polytechnique selecting CLAS 24 from 93 to 95 , and CLAS 15 for the preecedings years . A.Venturi is in contact with I.Riu . Tau After the meeting G.Ganis send a message ---- indicating : - He has been listing the available Monte-Carlo it should be OK for the tau , when the difference in the Galeph/Julia processing are clarified Monte-Carlo with Unibab is needed . This is already covered by the electron channel Luminosity ---------- The systematic error on luminosity for the SICAL can be lowered to 0.11% ( from Jadach et al..) For the LCAL the best is to stay with the preceeding errors . Comment from LCAL experts is needed. Run selection ------------- Scanbook has been updated for 1995 , putting in EA all the pre-scan period. It was pointed out by Andrea that the timing problem may affect the muon part in this 1st period. Andrea will investigate.
