    • > prompt
    • > mget b*.ps*
    • > quit

    file manipulation

  5. subs 'bc*' bc_ dc_

  6. pstogif d*.ps*

  7. mv d* ../normal

  8. ren old_filename new_filename
    (1 file only)

  9. subs 'dc_12345_6789___xy_rz.*' xy_rz 3jet
    (renames the 3 files belonging to a picture: ps, gif, sgif)

  10. short 'dc*' 3 10
    (letters 3-10 are deleted from the filenames)
