This is SGV 2.31 - A fast and simple program for simulating high energy physics experiments at colliding beam detectors.

Experimental CVS release: download sgvCVS.tar.gz (CVS-checkout).

To instal the CVS-checkout version:

untar
cd sgv
bash install
source sgvenv.csh or 'dot' sgvenv.sh
then continue as for the patchy version (copy files to private area, do ksh cresgvexe, etc.) eg.:
- mkdir test
- cd test
- cp ../sgvuser.F ../sgv_ex.kumac .
- cp ../sgv_ex_jetset.tit sgv.tit
- cp ../sgv_geo1_ex.inp sgv_geo.inp
- ksh $SGV_PAM/cresgvexe patchy sgvuser (This concatenates zauser.F with sgvevsim.F and sgvnews.F)
- ../sgvass.ksh test out
- mkdir out
- pawX11 -b sgv_ex.kumac
- sgvuser.exe
To switch on conditional material (done by adding "+USE,xxxx." in the cradle in the patchy version), add define tags to the compile command (ie. as the third argument to cresgvexe). The names of the tags are the same as the corresponding patchy-steerings, which are documented in the users-guide. So, to compile the PYTHIA6.1xx version one would do something like :
ksh ../cresgvexe patchy sgvuser "-DPYTHIA -DPYTHIA6 -DPYTHIA61" "" "" "" "/cern/pro/lib/libpythia6136.a"
