Version 1999 of the CERN Program Library for the CERN supported platforms and compilers was released on Monday, 22 March 1999. The basic code was frozen on Friday, 28 January 1999. After the updates described below the tar files were made from the April 12 versions.
For details of the changes since the 1999 release refer to:
March 24: libpacklib.a, pawX11 and paw++ on Digital Unix and Linux to correct an HBOOK bug in the treatment of real*8 variables in ntuples (see the list of changes to PAW). Also done for Windows and VMS. Other systems are not affected.
April 12: New Monte-Carlos added; stdhep 4.06, isajet744, photos202 and pythia6125. The previous versions installed in Cernlib are in the obsolete/lib directories for each architecture. Users of isajet and pythia will have to change their link procedures and check if they use the include files or data files.
