| Abstract: A search for lepton flavor violation in Z boson decays to one electron and one muon is performed. The data sample of proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} =$ 8 TeV collected by the CMS detector corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb$^{-1}$. An observed (expected) limit on the branching fraction of $\mathcal{B}\left(\mathrm{Z}\rightarrow\mathrm{e}\mu\right) <$ 7.3 10$^{-7}$ (6.7 10$^{-7}$) at 95% CL is obtained. | ||
