Abstract:
A search for doubly-charged Higgs boson in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} =$ 8 TeV is presented. The data corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb$^{-1}$, collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC. The search considers leptonic final states with three or four electrons or muons which probe the associated production of $ \Phi^{\pm\pm} \Phi^{\mp} $ and Drell-Yan pair production of $ \Phi^{++} \Phi^{--} $. No excess over Standard Model background expectations is observed and upper limits at the 95% confidence level are placed on the cross sections times branching ratio. Lower bounds on the doubly-charged Higgs boson mass are reported for a variety of assumptions on its branching ratio to charged lepton pairs.
