Nuclear modification factor of prompt $\mathrm{ D^0 }$ in PbPb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{_{\text{NN}}}} =$ 2.76 TeV
Abstract: Measurements of the production cross section of prompt $\mathrm{ D^0 }$ and its antiparticle in PbPb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{_{\text{NN}}}} =$ 2.76 TeV are presented. The nuclear modification factor of prompt $ \mathrm{ D^0 } $ is measured as functions of both transverse momentum and collision centrality. The nuclear modification factor shows that prompt $\mathrm{ D^0 }$ production is suppressed in semi-central to central PbPb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{_{\text{NN}}}} =$ 2.76 TeV.
