Operational Circular N° 5: Use of CERN Computing Facilities

Abstract

All users are subject to CERN's Computing Rules. Details are at http://cern.ch/ComputingRules.


New rules covering the use of CERN computing facilities have been drawn up. All users of CERN's computing facilities are subject to these rules, as well as to the subsidiary rules of use. Full information is available, including both French and English versions of the rules, at the web site:

You need to be aware of these rules which cover:
  • responsibility of users
  • third party access to accounts and data
  • rules for personal use
  • specific service rules: e-mail, NICE, network
  • liability and sanctions
Printed copies of this Operational Circular N° 5, in both French and English, are available in the Divisional Secretariats.
