News from the User Services Bookshop

Roger Woolnough and Jutta Megies , IT/User Services

Since the last CNL we have received the following new editions:
  1. Python Pocket Reference
  2. Professional Javascript
  3. System Performance Tuning
  4. Unix shells by example

We have also added the following books to the catalogue, for software development (C++ programming):

  1. "Numerical Recipes in C++": this book has sold extremely well and is the follow up to the Numerical recipes series which include both Fortran and C. The companion book of which we have a few copies is "Numerical Recipes Example Book in C++".
  2. Other new books for C++ are two titles of the same family "Exceptional C++", and "More Exceptional C++".

After a very long wait we have managed to acquire the new Hachette/Oxford French/English English/French dictionary, which contains over 900,000 words, phrases and translations.

Other computing books we have received are :

  1. Programming ColdFusion
  2. Oracle SQL Tuning Pocket reference
  3. Using Adobe Illustrator 10

and to complete the Feynman collection we have the Feynman Lectures on Computation.

All these books and the total catalogue are found at http://consult.cern.ch/books/ and may be purchased via EDH or cash at our bookshop.

To complete these news from the User Services Bookshop, don't forget we also look after the Oxford reference trial, so look at the following web site for a trial:
