CERN Linux 7.3.1 Certified

Jan Iven , IT / ADC

CERN Linux 7.3.1 (a customized version of Red Hat 7.3) has been certified. This version replaces the previous CERN Linux 7.2.1 as the default supported version of Linux at CERN.

CERN Linux 7.3.1 is available for network installs and on CDs (which will be distributed through the IT bookshop, http://consult.cern.ch/books/). A matching CD with ASIS packages will be made available.

Please see http://cern.ch/linux/redhat73/ for installation instructions, more documentation and an overview of the certification process itself.

We want to thank all participants, especially the members of the (newly established) Linux certification coordination body.
