In order to provide urgent bug fixes in a more timely fashion, and to allow selected users to `beta-test' pre-releases of new features, a new tree has been added to the existing OLD, PRO and NEW areas. This area, the development (DEV) area, is available only via AFS. Files will remain in this area for a limited period only and it should be clearly understood that these programs are development versions and should not be used for production, and that there is no guarantee that any feature they contain will ever be released in a production version.
