UMTF Computing Tutorials

   

This series of 1-2 hour seminars treats specific topics in the use of computers, Unix-based, PC and MAC. It is aimed primarily to help users migrating off CERNVM to other platforms but anyone interested in a particular topic is welcome to attend. They are all held on Monday afternoons and Thursday mornings in the CN Auditorium.

Tools for Mail on the Mail Server by Arnaud Taddei - Monday, May 13 14:00-16:00

Will cover such topics as vacation mail, forwarding mail, mail notification, etc.

Simple editors by Miguel Marquina - Monday, May 20 14:00-16:00

Will include editors such as Nedit and Pico on Unix, Write and Teachtext on PC and MAC.
