Printing on VXCERN (XPRINT, WPRINT)

  Christiane Letertre CN/DCI and Tami Kramer PPE/LE

The use of XPRINT on VXCERN is no longer recommended, as it may reference CERNVM if used with inappropriate parameters. The only XPRINT syntax still supported on VMS is XPRINT/LW

It has been replaced by the command WPRINT (HELP WPRINT for more details), which gives the same facility as XPRINT gave on IBM.

If you do not plan to use XPRINT/LW, the easiest way to migrate to WPRINT is to insert in your LOGIN.COM the following line:

        $ XPRINT=="WPRINT"
