Since the last issue of CNL there has been a further change in the structure of IT Division with the creation of an independent User Support (US) group under Miguel Marquina. While users will find mostly the same faces in the support activity as when it was run from within the old DCI group, the new independence emphasises the importance that the Division attaches to providing training and first-line support for the community. It will also allow the group to tackle with authority its new task of monitoring the quality of the services provided by all the other groups in the Division.
