In the ECP/IPT Group we actively help software projects in CERN experiments to identify, evaluate, purchase and use industrial software development tools. Network floating licences are used as much as possible, so that the tools can be run remotely. We are in the process of making our tools available on AFS. • More accessible "FrameMaker at CERN" Web
  The CERN home page for FrameMaker is now at: http://www.cern.ch/FrameMaker/. Other than lots of useful links for general information, you will also find a list of problems (and solutions) encountered at CERN, and a list of CERN-developed templates.

• Extended Functionality
  New CERN Templates introduced for FrameMaker 5, including:
  • CERN Letter (Fr, Eng),
  • CERN Fax (Fr, Eng),
  • Personal Letter (Fr, Eng)
  • CERN Memo (Eng)
  • Slides
  These templates appear under the CERN template directory of FrameMaker on UNIX. Mac and PC users can at the moment access these templates from the Web page dedicated to CERN FrameMaker users: http://www.cern.ch/FrameMaker.

• Printing
  It is now possible to print directly from FrameMaker on UNIX using xprint. For this, set your PRINT_CMD environment variable to 'xprint' before starting FrameMaker 5.
