Closure of CERN Support for HP-UX 9 Operating Systems

As announced several months ago (for instance in the CNL 226, see http://wwwinfo.cern.ch/cnls/226/art_hpux9.html), the CERN support for HP-UX 9 will stop at the end of 1997. In concrete terms, HP-UX 9 will be frozen and there will be no more update of:

• the operating system (patches),
• HP layered software,
• AFS,
• ASIS and the CERN Program Library (CERNLIB),
• SUE.

All users of HP-UX 9 systems are strongly encouraged to upgrade to HP-UX 10.20. If you need help for this upgrade, please contact HP.Support@cern.ch.
