Operating System Certification - Present List

As stated in CNL 224, here is the list of various versions of UNIX which we certify as working correctly with the CERN-recommended libraries, tools and utilities, as of June 8th, 1998:

We are in the process of certifying Solaris 2.6 and Linux Red Hat 5.1.

For those interested in the certification process, it is described in the Web page:

The latest news on the certification procedure is always published in the newsgroups associated with each UNIX flavour (for example cern.hp, etc.) and will be summarised both in the Web page listed above and in each forthcoming CNL.
