As planned and previously announced, the staffing level in the tape vault will be further reduced as from 1st July,1998. From this date, manual tape operations will be performed during normal CERN hours, i.e. 08:30-17:30, Monday-Friday. Please note that any import/export activities normally involving the operator should be scheduled during these times.
Outside these hours, occasional mounting of tapes will be performed by the remaining central operator (75011) on a best-effort basis, but his other tasks will have priority.
