Following the schedule announced in the last issue of the CNL (CNL 230), tape staging to VXCERN will be stopped as of July 31st. Archive saves and new user account creation have already been stopped.
Users who are still using VXCERN for mail are strongly encouraged to migrate to the Mailserver, following the procedure detailed in the VMS section of the Pine mail Web page:

In December of this year, a major review of VXCERN accounts will be made with the experiments, in order to identify those accounts which should be kept open beyond January 1st, 1999.
