Review of the 1998 IT Tutorial Programme

Miguel Marquina and Raul Ramos-Pollan IT/User Support

The Tutorial Programme organized by IT Division is still receiving a warm welcome from a good fraction of the user community. The proof of this is the good level of attendance at the sessions programmed during the summer.

A total of 1200 people have come along to the close to 30 tutorials given so far on different subjects ranging from basic UNIX for beginners to Visual C++ or Java for developers, or Internet Publishing for general users. The positive response and feedback received on this topic can only encourage us to continue making it a useful service to you all. Yet again we would like to ask for your collaboration by filling in the form available at our Web page:

http://wwwinfo.cern.ch/support/training
and provide us with your suggestions for future tutorials.

Topics planned for this fall include:

Other topics will be addressed as required subject to the availability of trainers. If you would like to become one of them and share your experience and knowledge with other CERN colleagues do not hesitate to address either of the authors at the generic e-mail address IT-Training.Service@cern.ch.

You may keep informed by following our regular announcements at the Weekly Bulletin or by reading our Web page, referred to above.
