With the growing number of portable computers, palm-tops and mobile phones, as well as the need to keep in touch with CERN not only from home, but also whilst on business travel, a coordination activity has been started in IT Division for Remote/Mobile Computing.
A number of people in both IT and ST Division already provide Remote/Mobile Computing. The goal of the coordination activity is to centralise the information and act as a focal point for user requirements.
