We are going to move the scratch area from the old CSF
interactive node to a standard public disk server. From November 1st, 1999,
you can access this new scratch area on DXPLUS, HPPLUS and
CSF services using the environment variable
$CSFSCRATCH. For users' convenience, the link
/scratch will be kept temporarily on CSF, but not on HPPLUS nor
DXPLUS.
Example: cd $CSFSCRATCH/c3/claudia
This change will enable us finally to switch off the CSF interactive node in the near future.
