The Eifion Jones Single Wicket Competition (3 June 1995).
Fifteen players participated in the 4th edition of this knock-out competition
in which players are paired, and each player bowls two overs against his
opponent.  The batsmen try to score as many runs as possible, whereas the
bowler reduces the score by 6 each time the batsman is given out.  The first
round went roughly as expected, and led to some interesting pairings in the
second round with one favourite and last years winner being knocked out.
Another favourite fell foul of the wide ball rule in the semi-finals, and the
Final was fought between Steve Kirk and Dave Allen, with the latter winning by
18 runs to 15.  Congratulations.
