Procedure for CERN Cricket Club external members (and family members) to obtain or renew a CERN Access Card

Club members and family members requiring an access card or people needing to renew their access card should e-mail Chris Onions (christopher.onions@gmail.com)
giving their full name as written on their passport and an e-mail address

NOTE: If you are a newcomer and have registered via our web site then the request will be generated for you.

The following then happens:

  1. You will receive an e-mail from edh.system@cern.ch with a link and password to complete your details and attach a copy of your passport. You will have 14 days to complete this
  2. The request then has to be signed by another member of the club who has a staff contract (not Chris).
  3. The Staff Association secretariat then has to check everything and sign.
  4. Then you will receive an e-mail telling you when you can go to pick up your access card.
This may take several days depending on the availability of the club staff member and the Staff Association secretariat.


Once you have been registered and HAVE BEEN INFORMED VIA E-MAIL BY THE REGISTRATION SERVICE, you must pass by the CERN Registration Service in Building 55 (main floor).

It is advisable to avoid going on a Monday morning, especially the first Monday of the month!!

You must take your passport or identity card to prove who you are.

A photograph will be taken and your card produced on the spot.

The access card is valid for one year maximum.
