1.4.2   Updating running header variables in all files in the book

1. Open the book file.
2. Hold down Shift key and to pull down the File menu select Open All Files in Book ( Esc fO ).
3. From the book File menu select File:Import:Formats (Esc fio).
4. Under Import from Document select FrontMatter.doc .
5. Under Import and Update: turn on the check box for Variable Definitions only .

Make sure that all other format check boxes are turned off!

6. Make sure that all files in the book are under Update: and click on Import .
7. Hold down Shift key and to pull down the File menu select Save All Files in Book ( Esc fS ).

UNIX keyboard macro	Description	Preconditions
Control-x UHV	Update Header Variables in all files in the book.	Activate the FrameMaker book file window and keep the mouse over it.
