Contrary to finite element calculations where the field is interpolated in a field map supplied by an external program, he field is calculated on-the-fly when using boundary elements.
The boundary element program currently used by Garfield, neBEM, is open source and linked with Garfield. Currently, no interface exists for Garfield++, which is why this example uses Garfield.
