The simulation of the processes of peripheral
heavy-ion collisions involves evaluation of the
dissociation cross sections for colliding nuclei.
This is realized in the framework of the equivalent photon
approach. Employment of the flexible approximations for the
photon-nucleus cross sections allows for rapid calculations
of cross sections for any projectile nucleus in
an arbitrary energy range.
