Jaromir Ludwin Homepage
Hello, my name is Jaromir Ludwin. You might find me occupied with:
- Electrical Quality Assurance of the LHC superconducting circuits and some other stuff generally related to electrical integrity testing and electrical failure diagnostics,
- A bit of LabVIEW programming,
- Photography (when I'm not at work).
For most of the I am at the at the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Krakow, Poland, where I work in the Division of Scientific Equipment and Infrastructure Construction. From time to time I might appear in CERN.
I was a co-author in following publications:
- Enabling Real-Time Impedance Measurements of Operational Superconducting Circuits of Accelerator Magnets,
- New Measurement Techniques Used for the Electrical Quality Assurance of HL-LHC Superconducting Magnets,
- Preparation and execution of the electrical quality assurance program on the LHC superconducting circuits during the second Long Shutdown
- Upgrade of the Arc Interconnection Verification System for the Large Hadron Collider
- Upgrade of the automatic measurement system for the electrical verification of the LHC superconducting circuits
- Software Tools for Electrical Quality Assurance in the LHC
- Single-Mirror Small-Size Telescope structure for the Cherenkov Telescope Array
- SuperB Technical Design Report
- Automatic Measurement System for Electrical Verification of the LHC Superconducting Circuits
- Automatic System for the D.C. High Voltage Qualification of the Superconducting Electrical Circuits of the LHC Machine
- Electrical Quality Assurance of the Superconducting Circuits during LHC Machine Assembly
Sometimes I can tell a bit about my work in media:
- (PL) RMF24, Interview during visit of Polish journalists at CERN, 2019. By the way I said that CERN uses the same amount of electricity as canton of Geneva. I was wrong. It only uses 1/3rd of that.
- (PL) RTvG, My interview in the local TV station from my home town, 2014
- (PL) TVP, Popular science show in Polish national TV, where I appear for a few seconds, 2013
- (EN/FR) CERN Bulletin, Increasing the potential, 2013
- (PL) RMF24, conversation after the LHC restart, 2010
There's also the Robot Zenek video... for those who like robots.
