The lifetime of the rho meson is sufficiently long that pions from the rho
can be regarded as coming from a larger source than those which are
produced directly.  This would affect the width of the Bose-Einstein
correlation function. We investigate this using hadronic Z decay data of
the L3 experiment at LEP.  The results are preliminary.
