Energy Deposition Studies

ACTIVITIES

Simulation of nominal and upgrade configurations of the LHC insertion regions ATLAS and CMS.

Scaling laws of energy deposition with respect to different parameters like aperture of the magnets, distance to the interaction point. This understanding would help us to design new magnets for the foreseen LHC upgrade configurations.

Energy deposition related issues for the design of a large aperture superconducting dipole for  future application, such as the neutrino factory.
