CentOS 8 - Install instructions
The following methods are currently available to install CentOS 8
- AIMS interactive - select the menu item 'Install CentOS 8 Linux (C8) 64-bit system'
- AIMS host registration - define your host to use the 'C8_X86_64' target
- OpenStack VM - boot from the image 'C8 - x86_64 [2020-04-16]' (or the latest image)
- ai-bs puppet managed VM - use 'ai-bs --c8'
- docker image - use 'docker pull gitlab-registry.cern.ch/linuxsupport/c8-base:latest'
- Manual installation (from an upstream CentOS 8 dvd iso) - add the following argument to the kernel line 'inst.addrepo=CERN,http://linuxsoft.cern.ch/cern/centos/8/CERN/x86_64/'. You may also use 'http://linuxsoft.cern.ch/cern/centos/8/BaseOS/x86_64/kickstart/' as the install media URL
- Converting an existing CentOS 8 system to use CERN repositories:
