Matching Mode

To initiate a matching operation, the command

MATCH;

is entered. MAD then enters ``matching mode'', in which it accepts only the matching commands. Most of the procedures have originated in the MINUIT program.

This command must be followed by commands to

• Define one or more tables to be matched. The tables can also be defined before the MATCH command.
• Define matching constraints on these tables.
• Define the variables to be adjusted.
• Select the verbosity of output.
• Initiate matching.

The ENDMATCH command terminates matching mode and deletes all tables related to a matching run:
