The charge-state distribution of the plasma for different materials

Six different elements were used as targets and the charge-state distributions are shown below. All are measured 1 m from the target and the absolute current is normalised to a current density with relation to Faraday cup measurements. Furthermore Polyethylene was used as a target for the production of carbon ions.

The Lumonics free running laser was used as the driver for these measurements.
