Accelerator and Beam Physics Computing Working Group (ABP-CWG)

The main goals of the ABP Computing Working Group (ABP-CWG) are to:

• Create a common platform on which the information/experience on available hardware and software resources is shared within BE/ABP and can be readily found;
• Follow the needs for code development, hardware upgrade and IT support;
• Give recommendations for the deployment of the resources to pursue the relevant development on the required timescales.

Bi-weekly meetings are organised, in which mainly two topics are covered:

• Matters arising, computing news to share (e.g. ITUM reports, new hardware, new software, etc)
• A presentation summarising the features of an existing software tool/package, the perspectives for its development and the computing needs to put it in place - and relative discussion
