How to generate CALICE events with Mokka
To generate CALICE events with Mokka, you can use
this example steering file. A link to the Mokka data base is given inside the file. You can have a look at that data base to decide which geometry model you want to use, depending on the CALICE run period.
Note: the steering file contains a GEANT4 macro, which tells Mokka what kind of particles it should run, the position of the particle gun and how many events it should run. Here is an example of such macro:
/generator/generator particleGun
/gun/particle e+
/gun/energy 5 GeV
/gun/position 0 0 -30 m
/gun/positionSmearing 10 10 0. mm
/gun/direction 0 0 1
/run/beamOn 5000
To run Mokka, you have to:
Mokka yourFavourite.steer
Once Mokka has run to the end, just type:
exit
Note: this of course assumes you have access to a Mokka installation. You can find one at the DESY IT, for example:
/afs/desy.de/project/ilcsoft/sw/i386_gcc34_sl4/v01-10/Mokka/mokka-07-06
The DESY HCAL group has its own local Mokka installation.
