Readout

Computers running FELIX OnHost BoardReader processes read out the WIBs and transmit data to a set of computers running EventBuilder processes that assemble fragments and write data to storage.

For ProtoDUNE-SP, data from X WIBs (X FEBs) (?) are read out over X 9.6- Gbps links into X FELIX cards.

FELIX servers are np04-srv-25 to 30

Event builder servers are np04-srv-01 to 04, quad servers in shared chassis.

Storage JBODs are SAS attached to EB servers with software RAID (mdraid).

All servers have IPMI control from one of np04-srv-07, np04-srv-08.

Servers are installed with CentOS 7 via CERN Kickstart and receive initial configuration from CERN Puppet/locmap. Subsequent configuration is done by Ansible.

Network

The 4 "service computers" np04-srv-007...010 are only on the 1G network. We have to see how to handle that (RJ45->SFP+). It would actually be better for them to have 10G connection to all clients...
