Product

The ARC LDAP Based Infosys consists of:

  • The local info server, servicing information about a resource through LDAP. Originally used the Globus GRIS, now migrated to use BDII.
  • The info index. Accepts registrations from local info servers or other info indices to form a hierarchical structure. Originally used the Globus GIIS, but now migrated to a standalone service that is more portable. This service implements only the subset of features in the old Globus GIIS that is needed by ARC, but uses the same protocol for these to keep compatibility with older clients. It is possible to run the local info server and info indices in the same slapd instance.
  • The web based grid monitor
  • The various information collector plugins for the local infosys - for each supported LRMS.

This product belongs to the two JRA1 areas: Compute and Infrastructure.
