ARC Computing Element - EMI Compute Solution [ Component Details ]

• This component can be used as a computing element (CE) that implements job execution functions used for a large variety of computational resources.

ARC* Client - EMI Client Solution [ Component Details ]

• This component is a client solution capable of working with the ARC Computing Element.

ARC Security Utils - EMI Security Solution [ Component Details ]

• This set of utilities ease the usage of certificates and provides tools their handling.

ARGUS - EMI Security Solution [ Component Details ]

• The ARGUS system renders XACML authorization decisions for distributed services, based on policies.

CREAM - EMI Compute Solution [ Component Details ]

• This service is a simple, lightweight service for job management operations at the Computing Element (CE) level.

dCache - EMI File Access Solution [ Component Details ]

• System for storing and retrieving huge amounts of data, distributed among a large number of heterogenous server nodes, under a single virtual filesystem tree with a variety of standard access methods.

DPM - EMI File Access Solution [ Component Details ]

• The Disk Pool Manager (DPM) is a lightweight solution for disk storage management (ease of installation, configuration, low effort of maintenance), while providing all required functionality for a grid storage solution (support for multiple disk server nodes, different space types, multiple file replicas in disk pools).

FTS - EMI File Transfer Scheduling Solution [ Component Details ]

• The File Transfer Service (FTS) can be used to control the incoming transfers of a storage element and can be essentially compared to the batch queue of a computing resource.

lcg_utils - EMI Client Solution [ Component Details ]

• The client solution lcg_utils works with any storage elements within the EMI software stack

StoRM - EMI File Access Solution [ Component Details ]

• StoRM is a service compliant with the open standard Storage Resource Manager (SRM) v2.2 being able to manage any POSIX file systems supporting the Access Control List (ACL) mechanism, including high performance storage systems based on cluster file system (such as GPFS from IBM and Lustre from Oracle/Sun Microsystems).

UCC - EMI Client Solution [ Component Details ]

• This UNICORE command line client works with the UNICORE Compute and Data Solutions.

UNICORE (Compute) - EMI Compute Solution [ Component Details ]

• UNICORE provides several Web services that can be used for computational job submission and management including data-staging.

VOMS - EMI Attribute Authority Solution [ Component Details ]

• The Virtual Organization Membership Service (VOMS) releases signed attribute statements about individuals stating group or VO membership as well as role possession.

WMS - EMI Compute Job Scheduling Solution [ Component Details ]

• The WMS receives requests for a job execution from a client, finds the required appropriate resources, then dispatches and follows them until completion.
