Publications

Publication of ‘project foreground’ (results, achievements, discoveries) must be notified to the PEB, so that it can assess its compliance with the quality standards and allow NA2 to collect metrics on dissemination.

The PEB can veto the publication of material in breach of the GA or CA. In particular the following criteria have to be fulfilled:

• All authors have to be acknowledged
• If previously unpublished material is used from parties other than the proposing authors, written consent must be obtained

In particular papers submitted to peer-reviewed journals and describing work done within the EMI project have to be submitted to the PEB to get formal approval before they are submitted to the journal in their final form. All published material must be released under Open Access (gratis OA) and a copy stored in the EMI Document Repository (CDS/OpenAIRE). In the case of papers published by scientific journals, every effort must be made by the authors to preserve the Open Access rights.

Finally, all publications must acknowledge the EC funding contribution under contract INFSO-RI-261611 as stated in the EMI project Grant Agreement – Part B (Desciption of Work). All publications related to the Project shall include the following statement "the research results of this Project are co-funded by the European Commission under the FP7 Collaborative Projects Grant Agreement Nr. 261611”. Furthermore such publications shall include directly or via an electronic link the following disclaimer _“this document contains material, which is the copyright of certain EMI beneficiaries, and may not be reproduced or copied without permission. The information herein does only reflect the views of its authors and not those of the European Commission. The European Commission and the beneficiaries do not warrant that the information contained herein is capable of use, or that use of the information is free from risk, and they are not responsible for any use that might be made of data appearing herein”. _
