+JS: I've changed large portions of the paper, to make it in my mind more readable. Some may want to be changed back if folks think the previous was more readable. I've left the original in tact in many places in the source, just commented out. I seem to remember my editor does word wrapping differently to Nigels, so while I had a bit of a go at wrapping my version to be the same, I may have made a few too many things go on different lines.
A few comments on current working draft,
collwake.tex, not a complete set yet, just to restart our reviewing of the work remaining to get these data published.
collwake.tex_jdas_30_01_2009.pdf.
- II. THEORY, needs tidying up, some unsubstantiated assertions made, few editing comments to remove also.
+ JS: Modifications have been made to this section, though I wonder if copying in the relevant equations would be a good idea.
- III. DESCRIPTION OF EXPERIMENT, ~ OK.
- B. Collimators Tested, if we keep this bullet point format as a compact summary of the collimators, we have to at least put descriptions into complete sentences not just "note" form of wording.
+ JS: I have expanded the explanations of the collimators we chose.
- IV. SIMULATIONS, references should be cited not inline; remove any statements which referees will think should be obvious to the reader, e.g. running MAFIA
+ JS: not had another proper look at this yet. Warner Bruns has a new version which apparantly fixes some bugs in the setting up of the initial fields - I will be rerunning the relevant models over the next few weeks.
- T480paper.zip: Files including figures/tex changes by Jonny, filling in 1st version of section on simulation/modelling. Corresponding collwake.pdf.
- paper.zip: Collected files for draft T480 paper, unmodified relative to Steve's May 2008 version
- collwake.tex: 21-May-2010: Now with Sascha's PBCI data included. Need to understand whether I've done something wierd to cause the kicks to be low.
