• Will your site be willing to participate in the joint tape test?
    • For multi-VO site , for which VOs then? ATLAS only

  • What is the maximum available tape throughput of the site? For write, 1.2GB/s with 4 drives, mostly 400-800MB/s depends on file sizes For read, ideally can reach more than 6 GB/s with 28 drives, actual case limited by number of requests, sizes, and how data distributed, this also affects how many drives being used for read). >3.6GB/s observed quite often.
  • Number of tape drives and drive types total 32 drives, one library with 2 logical libraries config, 20 LTO8, 12 LTO7

  • Does the site have hard-partition between read and write? Yes, usually 4 drives for write, 28 for read

  • For multi-VOs, does the site have hard-partition between VOs?

  • How the tape drives are allocated among VOs and for write and read?

  • Tape disk buffer size
    • For read
    1. 1PB(shared with write)
    • For write total 800TB(DATATAPE 350TB,MCTAPE 450TB), and shared with read
  • Any other info the site finds relevant ans wants to share. For example ,how much of the tape infrastructure is shared between experiments, what is the impact of other communities, etc.

Please see some additional questions to answer

  • According with the LHC experiment expected throughputs YY on site XX how much you could offer for the 2nd week of October and what percentage of hardware you will have during that date?

  • When do you expect to have required hardware in place?
