SupportProblem | Printing from Mozilla or Firefox doesn't work or gives just a header page. No error message from the browser. |

The default paper size on Mozilla and Firefox is set to Letter (8.5x11inch) . In some circumstances this paper size will not be converted to the CERN-default A4 , and the print job will silently fail (as far as the application is concerned). You can check the status of your print job from a terminal via lpq or xprint -q , a bad paper size results in something like the following
Filter_status: Error: configurationerror; !OffendingCommand: setpagedevice; !ErrorInfo: !PageSize --nostringval-- at 09:41:10.880To change this setting for Firefox, use the File → Print dialog, choose your printer (e.g "Postscript/default"), click "Properties", Select "A4" as paper size, confirm with "OK". |
