Things currently broken on IA64 and/or Opterons. IA64 has usually more constructive/repeatable behaviour..
- Kerberos4: libdes mixup -> segfault (SLC3, SLC4 to be checked))
- pam_afs/pam_afs.krb segfaults when trying to login with username/passwd via ssh
- routine des_key_sched() messes up pointers -> all (64-bit) pointers become useless 32-bit pointers
- des_key_sched() exists in way too many libraries (e.g. krb4, krbafs, ...) and all of them are linked into sshd
- it seems we were lucky that we got a working des_key_sched() routine up to now as the one used in sshd
- problem will apper on EM64T/AMD64 when virt. mem is above 4GB.
- it will appear at "random" -> whenever one of the pointers is longer then 32 bit
- OpenAFS: needs support for /proc-based interface from OpenAFS-1.4 onward, need this in libkrbafs on SLC3 (SLC4 seems ok?)
- OpenAFS-1.4 does not register syscall hooks -> k_hasafs can not find AFS syscall -> krbafs thinks that AFS is not installed
- patch taken from krbafs in SLC4
