Desktop/Notebook test

Comments:

  • SOLVED with SLC4.4: Ethernet works but not with the driver that is on the install cd (e1000).
  • NOTE: 0.9.2 works too (still needs ath -> eth driver name change !!) The wireless interface doesn't work with the stock SLC4 madwifi drivers but the newest one ( http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/madwifi/madwifi-0.9.1.tar.bz2?download) works fine. The buttons to switch it on and off don't work though, it's always on.
  • When you ask to reboot the machine you have to stop the machine manually and after restart it becouse it doesn't work automatically (ACPI Poweroff is ok!)
  • SOLVED with SLC 4.4: There are some problem with X server. If we want use it we have to start manually the eth0 device (it doesn' start at boot time) before to start X, after that everything works fine!!
  • The external VGA works only if you start with the external monitor already connected.
