Comments & Suggestions by Cristina Riccardi

Par. 1 --when you say that the rate capability is 10 KHz/cm2 , I think you intend the rate expected in that region. However, because you are talking about the GEM rate capability I would say at least MHz/cm2.

--charge amplification phenomena occurs -> charge amplification phenomena occur

Answer: Implemented in new version

Par. 2 --In general the humidity comes from .. -> In general the humidity that comes from ..

--in figures. 3, 4, 5, -> in figures 3, 4, 5,

Answer: Implemented in new version

Par 3.2 --The humidity and temperature range ..., shown in figure 6, .. -> The humidity and temperature range ..., shown in figure 7,

--You should say some words in order to introduce the equations (2),..(6) in the text

Answer: Implemented in new version

Par 4 --a test is performed at the GEM foil samplel -> a test is performed at the GEM foil sample

Answer: Implemented in new version

Comments & Suggestions by Prof. Stefano Cerbelli

1. Toglierei il "The" all'inizio dell'abstract, cominciando direttamente con "Systematic studies.."

Answer: Implemented in new version-v3

2. Cambierei la frase "To develop the model...... ....as shows in figure 2" a pagina due colonna di sinistra con: "The model developed takes into account the actual GEM foil geometry, including size and shape of the holes, for both the single and double mask process. Based on the problem symmetries, we selected the domain shown in figure 2 as representative periodic unit. This domain was discretized using triangular meshing.

Answer: Implemented in new version-v3
