Comments about author list

The maximum length foreseen for this proceeding was 2 pages. However, since the CMS GEM author list is 1 page long, the GEM CC decided to ask the conference organizers the permission to add an extra page. Although no answer was received from the conference, the GEM CC suggested that we should submit a three page long paper.

• Use collaboration list if 3 pages are allowed. Done

• Could remove fig. 1 and discussion if space is limited. Background rates are not really the topic of the paper. In the three page version there is space enough to keep it. The simulations to evaluate the capability of the chambers to withstand the background environment were included in the poster as well, and they were mentioned in the abstract submitted to the conference

• Don't need a conclusion section (really a summary) in a short paper. Also, the summary overlaps with the abstract. The summary paragraph was modified in order to avoid overlaps with the abstract, but in the three page version there is space enough to keep a small summary sentence.

• For such short document, no need of section headings as we do in short physics letter In the three page version there is space enough to keep headings

• In general, we need to think about the proper references. Just taking the latest proceedings is not correct. Suggestions for additional references are welcome, I will include them in the draft before submitting it to the conference

• Make sure acronyms (GE1/1, CMS, etc.) are defined. Done

• Add the TP to the refs. It serves for CSC aging and improved mu performance. Done

Actually this plot has more information than your fig.3, you could replace it if you want to minimize the impact. I added both figures
