Actions:
A new version of savannah was introduced into production on Dec. 2nd, migration was smooth, no problems were reported.
A bug fix release of GENSER (1.2.1) was build with some new generators,
the ones which are identical to the 1.2.0 release are symlinked. The
distribution tarball of GENSER 1.2.1 is available and contains the
full
set of generators (including those from 1.2.0).
A new configuration (LCG_40) is prepared for releases based on the new version of root (5.08.00 due out today) and Python 2.4.2 (used for pyRoot). Once root 5.08.00 is available, SEAL 1.7.8, CORAL 1.2.0, POOL 2.2.6, PI 1.3.11 and COOL 1.2.7 will be build on this. The deadline for this is set by CMS who need this
set of releases by next Monday morning.
In addition, a new configuration (LCG_41) is prepared with more changes in the external packages (for details see
ProposedConfigChanges41) including the change to
XercesC 2.7.0 which is needed for the porting to AMD64/gcc344. Releases based on this version will started to be build next week.
