LBS
stands for LHC Background Study Group and also covers more
generally beam conditions in the LHC relevant for the experiments,
including luminosity optimisation and calibration.
LBS meetings are open and can be found on indico.
If you wish to subscribe to the LBS mailing list please use the

Layout information :
Vacuum Layout http://layout.web.cern.ch/layout/
under the multiple choice “Reports” select “LHC Vacuum Layout “, make
your region choice and click on “Generate”. It takes some time to
display the layout. There you can find the description of each
component and its position respect to the IP.
Machine Installation Plan, the link is here,
go to “Plans Installation machine” and you can select the sector you
need. There all plans are listed (you can open them with the HPGLview)
HL-LHC
: it is essential to keep low or at least well tolerable
backgrounds in spite of smaller bean-pipes, higher intensities, full
beam energy and increased luminosities.
The LBS is integrated in the HL-LHC studies and in particular in WP8 on the Collider-Experiment Interface in collaboration with other working groups, the LEB, LTEX and ColUSM.
